Richglen demonstrated its expertise with the DRE18 Shutdown 2021 at BMA Caval Ridge Mine. The project involved a complex tub removal for rack and rail repairs on the Dragline Marion 8050, marking Richglen’s first operation of this kind.
Skilled Team
A skilled team of 100 professionals, including boilermakers, fitters, riggers, trades assistants, and electricians, was deployed. The team worked cohesively to carry out critical drag and swing gearbox overhauls, ensuring the project’s success.

Saraji Rear Leg Replacement Project
Richglen showcased its expertise at BMA Saraji Mine with the complex DRE18 Rear Leg Replacement on a Marion 8050 Dragline. This project involved replacing the rear tri-structure legs, a task that required precise execution.
Skilled Workforce
The project engaged 76 skilled professionals, including boilermakers, fitters, riggers, trades assistants, scaffolders, machinists, and crane operators. The team successfully managed the unique challenges of lowering the boom to remove and replace the rear legs, a process rarely performed with the tri-structure still raised.

BURTON COAL MINE RESTART and LV Electrical Rectification Project
Beginning in May 2022, the Burton Coal Mine Restart and LV Electrical Rectification project involved restoring electrical systems at Bowen Coking Coal’s Burton Downs Mine, which had been inactive since 2016. Richglen’s task was to repair and repower the mine’s infrastructure to meet operational standards.
Scope of Work
Richglen’s team addressed a wide range of components including CHPP modules, the village/camp, train load out, reclaim conveyors, ROM conveyors, bins, MIA warehouses, and sheds. The project required a multidisciplinary approach with up to 50 personnel, including electricians, boilermakers, fitters, and engineers, to cover the broad scope of work.
