A man, a ute, a vision

Founder and managing director Matt Borg packs his toolbox into his Hilux and heads over the hill to the Bowen Basin coalfields.

DECEMBER 2014

FIRST FIELD CONTRACT

Key employees are engaged and Richglen is awarded a maintenance contract at Curragh Mine, Blackwater.

July 2015

boom times begin

Richglen undertakes its first dragline boom lowering on Rolleston Dragline 01.

August 2016

Key eMPLOYEES TAKE A STAKE

Richglen employees Michael Rossi, Damien Friederichs and Guy Roberts officially join the company with the purchase of shares in Richglen Maintenance Services Pty Ltd.

SEPTEMBER 2017

The move to Paget

After operating from a hardstand area on Matt Borg’s farm and a small office space on Mangrove Rd, Richglen shifts to a dedicated workshop and office space at Elvin St, Paget.

Richglen reaches job number 1000 as COVID-19 lockdowns begin.

February 2021

Sparking new capabilitIes

Richglen expands its service offerings by securing an electrical contractor licence and launching its electrical division.

August 2022

Office expansion

Now with 150 employees, excluding subcontractors, Richglen expands into a second and third office space on Boundary Rd, Paget.

January 2023

Two thousand milestone

Richglen reaches job number 2000.

May 2023

New build begins

Fergus Builders Mackay is engaged to commence construction of a custom workshop and office at 30–34 Dozer Drive, Paget.
